Ministry work is often like gardening. You till the soil, plant seeds, faithfully water, but mostly you watch and hope for fruit. Then, all at once, when the weather is finally right, the garden seems to explode with new life.
Inspired by the song “O Be Careful Little Eye”, the camp’s theme Dir Belak (Be Careful) focused on helping kids understand how to both guard their senses and celebrate them as gifts from God. Each day’s curriculum was concentrated on a different sense, such as eyes, ears and mouth, and finally, arms and legs.
On May 2, BCYM (Baptist Children and Youth Ministry) led a children’s event for over 170 children! Invited by MIDADE Maghdouche and Abouna Chady, our team had the privilege to spend the day singing hymns, sharing Bible stories, crafting, and enjoying lunch with the community.

Having been encouraged by a friend to attend, on Saturday, January 11th Rana set off for the Family to Gather event that was taking place at the ABTS Moore Conference Center that day. Hoping to find solutions to the crisis happening in Lebanon and keep her family strong in the midst of it all, she brought her husband, nursery-aged son, and 8-year-old daughter along with her.
